Gogo Rummy - Responsible Gaming
Gogo Rummy responsible gaming: how to set deposit and time limits, recognise problem-gambling warning signs, self-exclude, and reach confidential 18+ support helplines.
Play within your limits
Rummy at Gogo Rummy is a skill-based game meant to entertain, not to replace income or resolve financial stress. Before you join any table, set a firm rupee budget for the session, the day, and the month, and treat it exactly like any other leisure expense such as a movie ticket or a meal out. Once that amount is spent, close the app and do not reload your wallet.
Time limits matter as much as money limits. Decide upfront whether you will play for 30 minutes or 90 minutes, then set a timer on your phone. Take a break of at least ten minutes every hour, avoid late-night sessions when tiredness clouds judgement, and never play under emotional stress or after alcohol. A simple rule of thumb: if you would feel uncomfortable telling a family member exactly how long you played and how much you spent, you have already crossed your limit.
Treat winnings as an occasional bonus rather than a reliable income. Chasing a winning streak with larger stakes is one of the fastest routes to financial harm. Balance your gaming time with family, work, fitness, and hobbies so that Gogo Rummy stays a small, defined part of your leisure week.
Warning signs of problem gambling
Problem gambling rarely arrives all at once. Watch for these patterns: spending more time or money than planned in back-to-back sessions; chasing losses by raising stakes to recover money already lost; hiding gameplay or deposits from family members; borrowing money solely to fund play; and skipping work, study, or family commitments because of gaming.
Emotional signals are equally important. If you are using Gogo Rummy as your main escape from stress, loneliness, or anxiety, or if your mood swings sharply with wins and losses, the game has moved beyond entertainment. Financial red flags include being unable to account for where your money went at month-end, selling belongings to fund play, or neglecting loan EMIs and household bills because those funds were used for gaming.
If two or more of these signs feel familiar right now, use the limit and exclusion tools described below or speak to a counsellor today. You do not need to hit rock bottom before asking for support.
Deposit, loss and time limits
Gogo Rummy lets you set three types of protective limits directly from your account dashboard under Settings → Responsible Gaming. A deposit limit caps how much you can add to your wallet per day, week, or month. A loss limit stops new game entry once your net losses reach a figure you choose. A session time limit logs you out automatically after a duration you set, from 30 minutes up to four hours.
To apply a limit, open the app, tap your avatar, choose Responsible Gaming, select the limit type, enter your preferred value, and confirm with your registered mobile OTP. Reductions take effect immediately. Increases carry a mandatory 24-hour cooling period so that an impulsive decision cannot undo a protection you set while thinking clearly. All supported payment channels, UPI, net banking, and wallets, respect the deposit ceiling you configure, so no method can be used to bypass your chosen cap.
Self-exclusion and cool-off
If limits alone are not enough, Gogo Rummy offers two stronger options. A cool-off period suspends your account for 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. During a cool-off you cannot log in, deposit, or join a table, but your wallet balance is preserved and accessible when the period ends. A self-exclusion closes your account for a minimum of six months. Both options are available under Settings → Responsible Gaming → Take a Break and activate instantly.
To request a permanent self-exclusion or extend an existing one, email [email protected] with the subject line "Self-Exclusion Request" from your registered email address. Our team processes all such requests within one business day and will not send promotional communications to a self-excluded account. If you attempt to create a new account during an active exclusion period, it will be closed and any deposits refunded.
